Hi!
Our RV180W does not log to our syslog server. The syslog server is working fine as other NE do log succesfully.
We have specified the syslog IP address under Administration Logging Remote Logging configuration Syslog server 1
Also the default logging policy was set.

Hi Johannes, did you configure a logging policy? By default the router only logs VPN.

Hi Johannes, I cannot think of another reason it wouldn't send the remote logging. By default the router only logs IPSEC VPN activity. So without making the custom logging policy the only actionable log is the IPSEC VPN. It may not be a bad idea to make another log policy then reboot that router to see if it resolves.
If making a new log policy and reload doesn't fix it, I'd recommend make a ticket to the SBSC since it shouldn't be that difficult to get remot logs.

I did adapt the Default logging policy ans also tried it with a newly created one.
The router replaces my old router with the same hostname and IP adress so I guess at the server there cannot be anything blocking.
I hate to do a restart of the router and I don't think it is required (is it?)

Thanks
It looks like that after a reboot of the appliance syslog commenced. I'm not entirely sure but a reboot seems to be required to have the RV180 perform logging to a syslog server.

I had this same problem. after rebooting the device it started logging. the problem is after some time it stops logging and only a reboot will start it back up.
its currently running the latest software and i factory reset it after the upgrade.

Have to found the solutions? I am having the same problem, syslog will start logging after the reboot, but stops after a while and only a reboot will start it back again.
