The router continues to function, and can navigate on a web browser to the login page. But neither the previously set username / password combo, nor (using the reset button and powering on / off) the default username/password combo works. We're in a Windows 10 environment. Not sure how to downgrade firmware without web access.

Found out that reset procedure needs a little care: before powering off the router, hold down the reset button for at least 10 seconds; power off; [for good measure -- not sure if this was really necessary] power on while holding the reset button for at least 10 seconds; power off; power on. This procedure restored the factory default password. Which allowed me to access the router again. The firmware 1.4.2.17 is working fine.

I have two VLANs and both were enabled for device management. I signed into the RV320 using the other VLAN, disabled device management through the VLAN that was giving me trouble, saved, and then reenabled device management on the same VLAN and saved. That fixed the problem for me.
