RV320 Root CA Certificate Key Length

RV320; Microsoft Enterprise CA; Upgraded Root certificate key length to 4096.

I need to create a new certificate for the RV320. Generated CSR. Asked CA for a new device certificate with 2048 bits. When attempting to import into Rv320, I am getting "Certification key is invalid. Please verify the public key and (Subject/Issuer) time is correct.". 

I know that the maximum key length of a certificate on an RV320 is 2048. What is the maximum length of the Root Certificate key?
