What's the easiest way to configure IPSec on the RV325 to work well with the Shrew VPN client? Any tutorial please? The pile of options is confusing. Thanks.

Try this.

So you have to configure Easy VPN rather than Tunnel or Group?
With Easy VPN it seems that you can only get 30 tunnels, I'd like the 50 tunnels from the VPN option below but I don't know what that option is:
VPN Setting Status
VPN Tunnel(s) Used: | 0 Tunnels |
VPN Tunnel(s) Available: | 50 Tunnels |
Easy VPN Tunnel(s) Used: | 0 Tunnels |
Easy VPN Tunnel(s) Available: | 30 Tunnels |
PPTP Tunnel(s) Used: | 0 Tunnels |
PPTP Tunnel(s) Available: | 10 Tunnels |

Anyone got the SoftEther client to work with RV325 IPSec?

Hello,
Thanks for contacting Cisco support community centre.
I hope you are doing well. I am really sorry for inconvenience caused and delay in response. You can configure either EasyVPN or GroupVPN and Shrewsoft client can be used for both. On each tunnel multiple users can be connected (recommended 10 users per tunnel). Softether is not tested and it is recommended to use Shrewsoft or GreenBow VPN clients. I have sent you documents to your registered email ID Cisco@bit-----.com.

Thanks. How do you connect multiple users on the same tunnel? At least with EasyVPN it seems you need an account per user and every time a user connects a tunnel is used.
Also, can you please post the equivalent of EasyVPN settings if one wants to set up an identical GroupVPN by hand? I can't tell what settings EasyVPN is really using.

Hi,
Client connects to same group/tunnel (like SUPERVENDOR mentioned in document) with different username and password (extended authentication) which must be created under user management for each user. I have sent you an email with documents for setting up GroupVPN and EasyVPN with Shrewsoft. Please confirm whether you have received the email.

Got the docs, thanks.
So what is the limit on how many concurrent VPN users the RV325 supports? EasyVPN says 30, VPN says 50 in the system status page that I posted above. What is what? Very confusing.

Hi,
RV325 supports 50 IPSec VPN tunnels and 30 Easy VPN tunnel. You can connect multiple users to single tunnel. Let us say you have create a one Group VPN IPSec tunnel out of 50 available tunnels, in that single tunnel you can connect 10 users from VPN client and available IPSec tunnel is 49. Those 10 users connected details will be visible under that tunnel. You can also create a tunnel for each user too.

What about EasyVPN? Does each user that connects count as a tunnel?
I played with the OpenVPN option a bit that has a limit of 5 tunnels and it seems that each connected user takes up a tunnel, so you can only have 5 concurrent users, hence my confusion about Group and Easy VPN.
Also, for a Mac client, is there a free option that works well with EasyVPN and split tunnel? The built-in Mac client only seems to work with full tunnel and don't want that, I need a split tunnel.
