Hello,
I am a small business owner and am new to Cisco Small Business Routers. I recently purchased an rv345 Dual Wan Gigabit VPN Router. I have upgraded to the latest firmware. (1.0.01.17)
I have yet to install the rv345, but I will be using it to replace a Netgear fvs336gv2 (No longer available for purchase) at my main office. (6 employees) I have a Netgear fvs336gv3 (also no longer available for purchase) at another office location (5 employees) and an IPSEC VPN connecting these offices. Eventually, I will be adding another IPSEC VPN to a 3rd office. (5 employees)
On the Netgear, I normally disable certain features, for example:
Disable IPV6: On the Netgear routers there is a WAN MODE>ROUTING MODE setting where you can select IPV4 Mode only or IPV4/IPV6 Mode. On the rv345, is there a way to set the Mode to IPV4 only? I believe there was a way to do this with the rv320, but I see no way to do this with the rv345. Is this even necessary with the rv345?
Disable WAN2: On the Netgear routers there is a way to disable WAN2 when not using it. Is this necessary or possible on the rv345?
Disable QoS: I normally disable QoS on the Netgear routers. I see no way to disable QoS on the rv345. I see a default "Traffic Class" which says "in use". Is this necessary or possible on the rv345?
Thanks for any feedback.

Thanks for the reply.
Ok, Yes I see how to disable WAN2 under LAN>PORT SETTINGS at the bottom of the list.
Is there a way to disable IPV6 on the WAN1 port? I am used to being able to do this on other routers. Is this something I don't need to worry about?
What were you suggesting I look at under Firewall>Basic Settings? I still don't see any way to disable QoS completely, but maybe having just the "default" policy that is "in use" is the equivalent of disabling it.
Thanks for any help.

You can disable IPv6 by simply following the instructions here:
LAN -> LAN/DHCP Settings
[x] on VLAN1 (or network you wish)
EDIT button to modify
Proceeds to give you two config panels
- Add/Edit: New DHCP Configuration (IPv4)
NEXT
- Add/Edit: New DHCP Configuration (IPv6)
