I have an RV345p (inherited when I got the job).
I turned on vlans and gave each its on IP range and VLAN#.
They are all subnets of the 10.x.x.x network.
Each subnet is 10.10.10.x /24 or 10.20.20.x/24 etc.
I select UNTAG for the VLAN that is on that port.
I select EXCLUDE for every other vlan on that port.
Despite this I still cannot get DHCP to pull from the correct DHCP server.
I cannot set the ports on the downstream switch to vlan 10 and expect it to work properly.
In fact if I set say lan10 to vlan 10 as untagged and my downstream switch is set to DOT1Q tagging and put the port in vlan 10 with the downstream switch connected via a trunking port (dot1q) I still get nothing and the PC attached to that switchport and it acts like it has no connectivity. I even tried manually assigning IP's in the correct range and still nothing.
But even though I set VLAN10 to untagged and Exclude all other vlans on that port if I leave the PC in vlan 1 on the downstream switch I can still ping every workstation regardless of the vlan.
I did turn off intervlan routing as well and have no routing protocol running on the router.
Is there a step I missed or do I not understand VLANS like I think.
Thanks JC
