Secure Sites Blocked

I have a Cicso RV 340 that started blocking some websites a couple of months ago and I can't seem to find and configuration settings that are causing this.  The blocked sites seem to be secure sites but not all secure sites are blocked.  For example, the payment page for our local power company.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 - Which specific (error) message is seen when trying to access the blocked sites ?

-- Each morning when I wake up and look into the mirror I always say ' Why am I so brilliant ? '
When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

"This site can't be reached site xxxx took too long to respond"
Connecting the same laptop upstream of the router and all of these sites can be accessed. No device, iPad, Windows10 etc. can access the site behind the router.

Hello Kenneth,

Did you make any configuration changes prior to this behaviour? Do you have in place any security features enabled on the RV? Are you using any of the advanced security features with the security license?

Go to Firewall-->Restrict Web Features and see if wether Java, Cookies, ActiveX and Access to HTTP proxy servers are blocked? Try to connect with disabled Firewall and then enable again. Any specific access rules? Have you tried restarting the router?

Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin,
I didn't make any configuration changes prior to this occurring and I don't have any security features enabled. I added the security license thinking this might solve the problem but it didn't make any difference.

Ken

Hello Kenneth,

You may need to do a packet capture on the WAN port and further investigate what might be the reason for preventing the access to this site. Please follow the steps in the following guide and collect the traffic capture when you try to access the site. Then you can open up a ticket with our STAC technical support team so they can help you solve the issue:

Hello Kenneth,

Unless you have enabled the web filtering or have implemented deny access rules there isn't any reasonable explanation of that behaviour. As Marce1000 mentioned, please share what is the error message when trying to access that blocked web sites? Do you have any firewall and/or antivirus running on your end devices that might cause this?

Regards,

Martin
