WAP200E SW 2960 POE

I have a problem  to connect my WAP200E to SW2960. What is my mistake?

Both are POE. I connect only Wap200e to SW2960 and I check the 15.4watts, but I suposed that WAP 200E doesn't respond, because WAP 200e doesn't turn on.

I need to put to grown, or put some device before on connect to SW2960 to WAP 2000E.

Can you help me, please?

I tested a wap200e with a SB-PWR-INJ1 connecting to SF300 switch, this powered the AP without problems

Hi Erick, can you connect the WAP to a different POE switch and verify it works? Can you connect different POE devices to the same port of the 2960 and verify the 2960 port works?

Yes I connecto other device to switch 2960, and that switch responde fine, when I connect the device WAP200E I recive that message in the switch 2960

tstart error detected

when I connect the WAP 200E

THAT IS THE MESSAGE

Controller port error, Interface Fa0/08: Power Controller reports power Tstart error detected

What version IOS?

C2960 Software (C2960-LANBASEK9-M), Version 12.2(50)SE5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Fixed most of the POE issues on the 2960s.

Also, from the interface, can you shut down and restart the poe?

config t

int fa 0/xx

power inline never

power inline auto

Also may want to try-

config  t

int fa 0/xx

power inline port 2x-mode

shut

no shut

And I can put that commands, when I put other device work fine but when I connect WAP to the same port the result is wrong

And

I try to put this command but I don't have that commad

power inline port 2x-mode

Switch(config-if)#power inline ?

Can you verify the WAP200 works on a different poe switch?

I probe to Power injector both WAP 200E and I try to connect to the power injctor to Sw2960, but I dont have good results. I don't have another Switch whith poe, but when I put other devices like 7942 Cisco Ip Phone the Switch 2960 respond fine. The same when I use the power injector with the Cisco ip Phone. I don't know what I make ?:(

What model power injector? It may not be compatible. 7942 uses legacy POE. It is not 802.af poe.

mmm It can be, because Ciso Ip Phone 7942 use about 6.3 watts right. Power Injector AIR-PWRINJ3 output 48v 0.32 A Input: 48v 0.38A

I tested a wap200e with a SB-PWR-INJ1 connecting to SF300 switch, this powered the AP without problems
