Hi everyone!
We are having an issue here, I will break it down like this.
We have a 2960 with 2 Gig interfaces but we are using 100fx SFP's instead of Gig. The reason being that our core switch(cisco 4506) is 100fx. Now we have everything set up correctly as far as I can tell, green lights across the board. We can see the 4506 from the 2960 via CDP neighbor and vice versa, the problem is we cannot ping from one to the other! There arent any errors coming up in the log's so I'm baffled right now as to why they wont talk to each other. The only thing I can think of is that we are using a Gig port to connect to a Fast Ethernet port, i'm not sure if this would cause us to not be able to talk or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
