2 Catalyst 6500 ; 2 problems

Free Bird

Level 1

I have depoloyed 2 catalyst 65k as a single entity VSS ; m getting the following error when saving the configration on the primary/local player.

Dec  4 23:15:16.971: %PFREDUN-SW1-4-BOOTSTRING_INVALID: The bootfile s2t54-ipse
rvicesk9-mz.SPA.151-2.SY2.bin is present on the active supervisor but not on the
 standby

the bootfile reside on the standyby as well with the exact same name and version , but this error pops up everytime upon saving the config.

---------------------------

2nd problem is regarding the VSS redundancy :

I am testing the standby part taking over as active player.

for verifying this I took out the VSL links from the active switch. (switchA).

the switchB takes place as active but the SwitchA goes into RECOVERY and when i see '.'show virtual switch role' on SwitchB ; it shows  both switches in ACTIVE state.

after a while i reloaded SwitchA and ran ''show virtual switch role' on SwitchB then it showed switchA as HOT STANDBY..

the bottomline is that I want to make the SwitchA go directly into HOT STANDBY mode when I plug out the VSL link.

kindly suggest what to do.

P.S. : (total 4 ports working as fast-hello , 2VSL ones ; and 2 2-gig ones.) I only took out the VSL links.
