2651XM unable to create pri-group

hello all, im unable to create pri-group unter T1 controllers in 2651xm , I have 3 T1 VWIC controller cards [dual port], tried using differnt IOS [advance enterprise/IPVoice/SPservices], i can onyl see channel-group unter the controllers.

network-clock-particiapte slot 1

network-clock-participate wic 0

i havent added "isdn switch type", does addign these command enables the Pri-group, also wheni do sh inv, i see 3 pvdms, but no serail number,

hi,

can you post here a show inventory and show diag?

Not all cards can support pri-group, those commands will clarify which cards you are using, and also if the router recognized them

Hi,

These T1 cards can support both data and voice, see this doc for reference:

After you configure isdn switch-type in global config, you should be able to see the pri-group option under the controllers.

Can you please follow these configuration steps, and capture the logs when you are typing the commands?

Marco, thanks for the docs... i did add the following to router last night and it didn't madenay differnce still imunabel to see the PRI-Group under the T1 controllers.

saveconfig reload router, still no luck....[im thinkign of write erase and reload the IOS to see if that makes any differnce]

Hi, I'm not sure I understand correctly what you mean, can you please past the log of what you are configuring?

Do you see the pri-group option or not?

Primary-ni is used only in U.S., are you sure it's the one you need? Europe and most of the other countries use primary-net5.

In the log, please try the following:

Type "controller T1 0/0" and press enter.

Type "pri-group " and press question mark.

basically imtryig to setup [emulate] PSTN usign cisco 2651XM, im using 3 VWIC 2MFT cards [dual ports] previsouly these router was used as voice gateway, the guys who sold me showed the config before erasing it, clearly he had the pri-group setup, in his case he was using single port t1 cards on 2 slots, the differenceis im usign 3 dual port T1 cards, initally i have installed advance enterprise IOS tried configurig the router, sicne the ios is ver 12.4 (25)  and the cards are T1 only so i dont have to type "card-type" etc.  next step i tried ios ipservices etc. still no luck

i can see all 6 T1 contollers, on global config i have selected the network-clock particiapte / network-clock-select sicne i'm in us i did selelct the switch-type primary ni.

i can configure channel-group not the PRI,  [ please check my previous post for config]  so my question is how do you setup 2651xm for PSTN to support 3 test site for WAN/PRI
