3750 ignoring static route over metro e

The Cisco 3750 is ignoring a static route I have set. I have to be missing something small but can't see it. I am trying to tracert 172.20.2.5 it should go to 10.2.1.2 but instead is going to 10.3.1.2 which is a completely different datacenter. Bellow is the running config and the show ip route staement. Any help would be appreciated.

Just curios, see if you could point the next hop as the actual interface instead of the IP address as I see that you have another static route pointing to the same IP.

Hi

If you set up a default route:

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 <next hop>  (the next hop should be available otherwise it will not be applied)

 

Now if the above is ok you could try cleaning that specific route, for example:

 

clear ip route 0.0.0.0 0  0.0.0.0   (it should clean the specific entry)

it is being learned via EIGRP on the firewall that was set to redisto statics. (Done before my time).

 

The default route points to the firewall which is correct. the default route isn't in question here unless it is somehow over writing my static route which still wouldn't make sense because when I do tracert it doesn't go to the firewall nor should it as this is a Metro E connection and will just go between the switches.

this is the static I am trying to make work.

Just out of interest what does a traceroute to a 10.39.x.x IP do as that is the only other static you have configured ?

it appears to route to the same incorrect location. As far as I know that block isn't actively being used for anything. but for some reason it is thinking it lives off the 10.3.1.2 when it should be the 10.2.1.2 as it is configured.

 

I have only been at this company for a couple of months and trying to get his straightened out. Some stuff was able to talk to some things but others weren't etc. Its been an interesting mess with many more challenges to come!

If you remove this static route and execute show ip route, what is displayed?
