3825 router and internet connection with two ip ranges

I have a 3825 isr that terminates a 100mb fiber internet connection.  We are running out of address space on that connection and we are wanting the isp to give us more addresses.  They have agreed to give us an additional /26 on the same connection.  Would I be able to configure a secondary ip address on the interface that terminates the 100mb connection.  With that secondary address being from the new /26 connection.  Would there be another more recommended way of configuring the new connection on the router.  The 3825 connects to an asa5510 isr that does the nat translations and firewall

hi,

yes, you could assign a secondary IP address on your router's LAN port for the new range. Then add the new IP range on your ASA FW to do NAT.

int f0/x

ip add <1st LAN GW>

ip add 255.255.255.192 secondary
