6500 VPLS

Hi all,

i have 2 X 6509 with 6708 & sip-400 with spa 1XOC-48.

i need to have a layer 2 tunnel between them.

can i have a vpls configuration with that scenario ?, meaning configuring the Xconnect on the 6708 module and the sip\spa will do the vpls encapsulation ?

Yes you can configure VPLS with this hardware and MPLS in between them.  SIP400 is one of the options that supports VPLS on the core facing side.  The LAN facing module doesn't matter.  Here is a VPLS configuration guide for another module, but the same configuration applies to SIP400.
