Hi have a problem with the LACP implementatio in a 7204VXR.
I cannot find the LACP commands.
Here the SHOW VER:
Cisco IOS Software, 7200 Software (C7200-IS-M), Version 12.4(21), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupport

ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.3(4r)T1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
BOOTLDR: Cisco IOS Software, 7200 Software (C7200-BOOT-M), Version 12.4(24)T2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)
I need to combine two gigabitethernet interfaces with LACP but i can't find any lacp commands in my IOS.
Should I update my IOS ? to wich version?
Now my 7204 vxr has the IOS release 12.4(21) and it contains the feature Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) (802.3ad) for Gigabit Interfaces, so i should be able to use LACP command!
Focusing on the problem: I'm reading the Cisco's document "Configuring IEEE 802.3ad Link Bundling and Load Balancing"
Enabling LACP
SUMMARY STEPS
1. enable
2. configure terminal
3. interface port-channel channel-number
4. channel-group channel-group-number mode {active | passive}
5. end
In step 4 i have to use the channel-group command but in the port-cahennel interface config i haven't this type of command.
Associating a Channel Group with a Port Channel
SUMMARY STEPS
1. enable
2. configure terminal
3. interface port-channel channel-number
4. interface type number
5. channel-group channel-group-number mode {active | passive}
6. end
In step 6 I have to use channel-group command but in the gigabitEthernet interface config this command doesn't allow to add the parameter mode {active | passive}
Also i have to use a lot of lacp command that i can't find in any configure mode:
lacp system-priority priority
show lacp sys-id
lacp min-bundle min-bundle
show lacp {number | counters | internal | neighbor | sys-id}
lacp direct-loadswap
Any suggestion?
Thanks to everybody
Max
