When following the article http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1835/products_tech_note09186a008020260d.shtml#em-prog to backup the config of several 881-w routers I do not see any related information to the wireless configuration (i.e.: SSID) in the resulting txt file. Should this information be coming down in the backup process or is there a seperate process to backup this part of the config?

You probably need to connect to the AP and repeat the stpes to get the config for the AP. The AP on the device is essientially a separate module.
