Hi everyone,
I have a client with a Cisco 892 Integrated Services router, and two ISP lines. He would like to implement automatic failover in-case the primary ISP goes down. I lack familiarity with integrated services routers, but will a static default route to the secondary ISP, with a high administrative distance do the trick? It seems to work in packet tracer, but I'm just looking for a second opinion before deploying it in the real world.
Thanks for any feedback.
