Hi Team

I have a PRI which is connected by multiple dial-in users. After a particular user A dial in,other users couldn't get connected

Pretty little info to draw any conclusions but Ok.

This is probably due to adress-pool exhaustion.

UserA then gets the least-used IP.

If you are not using a pool, it is probably a misconfiguration in the radius server?

Regards,

Leo

Dear Leo

Thank you very much for the quick response and explanation.Much appreciated.

Neither an address pool nor a radius server is used.here is the interface config:

interface Serial3/0:15

ip address 172.31.170.1 255.255.255.0

encapsulation ppp

dialer map ip 172.31.170.8 broadcast 02150540667

dialer map ip 172.31.170.72 broadcast 84400369

dialer map ip 172.31.170.9 broadcast 02038912117

dialer map ip 172.31.170.201 broadcast 85638033

dialer map ip 172.31.170.10 broadcast 02150624238

dialer-group 1

isdn switch-type primary-net5

isdn incoming-voice data

no peer default ip address

no cdp enable

ppp authentication chap

!

dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit

!

Any thoughts?

Warmest Regards

Tony

If you say they cannot get connected, do you mean they are unable to authenticate or that other users cannot send/receive any traffic?

The output from: deb ppp neg may show interesting info regarding this issue. Did you already try that?

Regards,

Leo

Hi Leo

Everything works fine. The remote users can dial in and get connected. But once the user A dials in,no one else can get connected. After user A disconnected, other users can dial in and get connected again.

I am waiting for the cu to send me the output of debug ppp neg.Hopefully it will show sth useful.

Thank you again for your help.Much appreciated.

Best regards

Tony

I would like to have another look when the ppp neg output is posted.

Hi Leo

Sorry for coming back to you so late.the cu just sent me the debug ppp ne .Please c the attachment.

problem:when a user dials in from 665111926,it injects a host route 10.254.59.1 into routing table.when other users dial in,they can get connected for a couple of seconds then get dropped.IPCP complains that the host route 10.254.59.1 is still needed by cef .

any ideas?

thank you very much for your help.
