Adsl Connection issue urgent help required

hi all

i have a 827-4v adsl cisco router.i had configured everything and its working but some https sites are not working, some of them are working.

Here users can browse the internet, but we have an exchange server which will download mails from the pop3 server every 15 mins. but after installing this cisco router it takes hours some times its downloading mails at 30 min's but sometimes it takes 6 hours.

and i'm using SBS server and from the event viewer i can see some error messages. like this.

Event ID 12050

Source: POP3Connector

"POP3: Failed to check the POP3 account for rmsllcco at host mail.rmsllc.com on port 110. The error is 10060"

so i replaced the router with "speed stream adsl modem" the moment i connected this, mails started coming to exchange server. This is very strange.

please give me your views.

i'm attaching the sh run configurations.

Thanks & regds

Joseph Stanly.

When the network slows down, are you able to ping mail.rmsllc.com ? Or are you able to POP the mail to a client like Outlook Express from the POP server at the same time you experience slowness ?

Have you also verified with the speedstream adsl modem, whether you are able to open the Https sites that you say didnt work,

actually the network is not slow, even with the cisco router if i ping to the pop3 server it's pinging perfectly without any timeout's.

with cisco router some https sites are not working this is when i'm browsing thru IE 6.0 but with mozilla firefox its working.

but after putting speed stream all the https sites are working perfectly with IE 6.0

please check the configuration file

in dialer configuration

IP MTU is 1492 will this create any problem.

i'm totally confused. Please advise regarding the same.

Thnks

Joseph.

expecting comments on this.

Joseph,

Read this link. Hope this helps!

Rather than changing MTU size, try the

ip tcp adjust-mss 1492 command.
