Hi,

There is an indirect connectivity between ASR 903  router and Cisco 3560CG router for which the configured to be in same IP segment. The two devices are not pinging from each other, but able to ping other devices from both which are in the same LAN segment.

Router:

-----------

interface Po4

service instance 600 ethernet
description COLLECTOR

rewrite ingress tag pop 1 symmetric
bridge-domain 600

interface BDI600
description COLLECTOR
ip address 100.66.44.9 255.255.254.0
no ip redirects
no ip unreachables

CA93-01#ping 100.66.44.1
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 100.66.44.1, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/1/4 ms

.....
Success rate is 0 percent (0/5)

CA93-01#sh ip arp | i 100.66.44.20
Internet 100.66.44.20 114 f078.16bd.6741 ARPA BDI600

Switch:

-----------

3560CG#sh run interface vl600
Building configuration...

Current configuration : 110 bytes
!
interface Vlan600
ip address 100.66.44.20 255.255.254.0

3560CG#ping 100.66.44.9

Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 100.66.44.9, timeout is 2 seconds:
.....
Success rate is 0 percent (0/5)

3560CG#sh ip arp | i 100.66.44.9
Internet 100.66.44.9 0 188b.454c.5cbf ARPA Vlan600

One thing is in arp table of the switch, arp for that particular router is continuously flushing and always is "0". On the other end, in router there is

no problem, the arp for the switch is aging.

Warm Regards.
