Can EPC be applied to the Gig0 interface of an ASR 1002-X that's in the Mgmt-intf VRF? I've tried both of the following examples, but don't see any packets captured:
monitor capture testcap interface GigabitEthernet 0 both match any buffer size 1
monitor capture testcap interface GigabitEthernet 0 both control-plane both buffer size 1 match any

Hello Jason
The earlier configuration that i tried was on ASR1004. i tried to test this in my lab on ASR1002-X and was able to see the same behavior. After researching a bit on this issue, i noticed that though Mgmt Interface is configurable but its not supported. There is a config check added starting 15.3 release for this issue to ensure that mgmt interface is not configurable for EPC. There is an internal defect opened as well for this issue (though i cannot share as its internal).
Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Vinit

Hello Jason
i just tried to setup EPC on GI0 interface and it works. What is the version that you are using.

What is the XE version that you are using?
Please let me know if the above configuration works for EPC for you.

Hi Vinit,
Thanks for testing this! I'm running version 15.2(4)S5. It looks like the syntax on my version is slightly different:
router#monitor capture ?
WORD Name of the Capture
router#monitor capture test ?
access-list access-list to be attached
buffer Buffer options
class-map class name to attached
clear Clear Buffer
control-plane Control Plane
export Export Buffer
interface Interface
limit Limit Packets Captured
match Describe filters inline
start Enable Capture
stop Disable Capture
I've been trying to implement the feature as described in this config guide:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/epc/configuration/xe-3s/asr1000/epc-xe-3s-asr1000-book/nm-packet-capture-xe.html
