Is the GLC-LH-SM SFP compatible with the ASR1002 and how does it differ from the SFP-GE-L adapter?

GLC-LH-SM SFP 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP transceiver module for MMF and SMF, 1300-nm wavelength.
SFP-GE-L is 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP transceiver module for MMF and SMF, 1300-nm wavelength, extended operating temperature range and DOM support.
Unfortunately, GLC-LH-SM will not work for the Shared Port Adaptor. Depending on your SPA, you need to choose what SFP-GE models you need. Please refer to Cisco ASR 1000 Series Shared Port Adapter Support (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps9343/data_sheet_c78-447659.html')">http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps9343/data_sheet_c78-447659.html), choose your SPA port density you require and then you'll find out what Optical Modules you may use.
I have no idea how accurate these documents are because we have two ASR1002 and the SPA's are fully populated with GLC-TX (or what could be GLC-TX) ... and they work!

Thanks Leolaohoo,
I am wondering if there is any difference other than the Extended Operating temperature range and the optical monitoring. I cant find any documentation anywhere that shows the GLC-LH-SM SFP being compatible with the ASR1000 SPA. I can find where the SFP-GE-L is compatible with the SPA for the ASR1000. Can you point me into the direction of documentation that would help me out?

Afraid not. There are three ways to get around this.
1. Contact your Cisco reseller or a Cisco sales engineer (which specialize on the ASR1000) and ask the question.
2. If you have a few of the spare GLC's lying around, it's worthwhile plugging them into the ASR's and see if they are detected.
3. Or you can go to ASK THE EXPERT - ASR1000 SERIES ROUTERS
Like I mentioned in my previous post, we have two ASR1002's and it's fully populated with GLC-TX and work.
Hope this helps.

Hi Guys I have couple ASR 1002 running with GLC-LH-SM= with no problem, also I spend some time looking for the correct answer even I opened a TAC but nothing....
So I think the only difference is Extended Operating temperature range and the optical monitoring and obviously price!!!
Thanks
