Folks,
I have two routers performing X.25 to TCP translations with the X.25 switch viewing both as a hunt group. So traffic is load-shared across both with either allowed to fail and still allow incoming traffic on the surviving router.
If I lose IP connectivity on either router, then it cannot perform the X.25 to TCP translations.
Is there a way to get the router to shutdown the X.25 serial port automatically when this happens.. so it simply plays on the hunt-group absence to allow all X.25 traffic route to the other router until the IP link is restored.

A datagram is a logical grouping of information sent as a network layer unit over a transmission medium without prior establishment of a virtual circuit. IP datagrams are the primary information units in the Internet. The terms cell, frame, message, packet, and segment are also used to describe logical information groupings at various layers of the OSI reference model and in various technology circles.

Thanks for the lesson in datagrams.. but exactly how does this help me to automatically deactivate an X.25 serial port when an IP link fails?..
