AVC available during a CSR1000v eval?

I am trying to use a few eval copies of csr1000v with LiveAction. I expected the AVC option to be enabled in LiveAction, but it is greyed out and says not supported. From what I have read, AVC should be available during the 60 day eval of the csr1000v. I have enabled the premium license and accepted the eula and written the config and rebooted. It shows the following:

csr-1#sh lic detail
Index: 1

Feature: ax_2500M Version: 1.0
License Type: Permanent
Start Date: N/A, End Date: Apr 18 2017
License State: Active, Not in Use
License Count: Non-Counted
License Priority: Medium
Store Index: 0
Store Name: Primary License Storage
Index: 2

Feature: prem_eval Version: 1.0
License Type: Evaluation
License State: Active, In Use
Evaluation total period: 8 weeks 4 days
Evaluation period left: 8 weeks 1 day
Period used: 2 days 6 hours
Expiry date: Apr 16 2017 09:24:12
License Count: Non-Counted
License Priority: Low
Store Index: 0
Store Name: Built-In License Storage

csr-1#

The folks at LiveAction are saying that AVC must not be supported in the eval version of csr1000v. But that seems contrary to what I have been reading.

Could someone maybe clarify this for me please?

Thank you.

Don,

I googled around and came across this. Obviously I don't know which IOS (XE) version you are running, but check if the below might apply:

Limitations and Restrictions in Cisco IOS XE 3.10S

Configuring Network Based Application Recognition (NBAR), or Application Visibility and Control (AVC) support on the Cisco CSR 1000v requires a minimum of 4GB DRAM on the VM, even when using the 1 vCPU configuration on the VM.

Hello,

according to the Cisco document below:

Temporary Activation/Deactivation of the Premium License
Cisco CSR 1000V Cloud Services Routers support temporary 90-day activation of Premium license features, for evaluation, before obtaining a full license, using the license boot level CLI command. Activating Premium features provides full AVC functionality.

Activation

To temporarily activate Premium features, execute the following from the console:

conf t
license boot level premium
end
reboot

Thank you for the response. I have read that as well. Though it must be somewhat outdated as it's a 60 day eval, not a 90, I believe. At least that is what the agreement says when you enable the license on the router.

LiveAction is saying their product works fine with csr1000v and that it must be something with the eval edition. I was hoping maybe someone might be able to confirm that has maybe done this before or something.

I bet that is it. I only have 2gb on each router right now. I'm away for the weekend, but will test when I get home.

Thank you!

Thank you for googling and the suggestion, however it did not make any difference. I changed the router to dual core, with 4GB of RAM and it still just says AVC not supported in LiveAction.
