I have two 1841 routers at two sites with a point to point T1 connecting them. They each have an Internet connection that the local site uses for their primary connectivity. I want to configure each router to use the other for backup in case their ISP connection goes down. I wanted to use static routing backup using object tracking but I am running an IP Base image and this feature is not available.
R1(config)#track 1 rtr

Hi,
On 1841, only Advanced IP or ServiceProvider feature set support Reliable Static Routing Back-up using Object Tracking .
You need to upgrade your IOS to AdvancedIP or SP feature set.
You can download Adv.IP or SP feature set IOS from below link if you have a valid CCO ID.
