bandwidth issues

Hi all,

In my company bought 20 mbps lease line(ISP Line).I connect directly with my laptop and after checking it show 20 mpbs speed.If i connect cisco 1941 router and configure PAT and Its working fine but I check with speed I connect directly to another interface on my router to laptop at that it show only 8 mpbs speed.I am check with ISP person but they told its not an issue in ISP because we connect directly it show perfectly 20 mbps speed but connecting with your router at that time it show 8 mbps speed,so problem with your router configuration.so kindly help how to trobleshoot this issue?

Have you checked the status of your router interfaces that connect to both the ISP and the laptop?

One or both may be only half duplex. If so then configure as full duplex.

Thanks for your response,sorry I can't post the router config because router in client place.If thye configuration are I assign IP address for both the interface and enable duplex full command and PAT configuration all r working fine but problem is only bandwidth.

Is there any throughput restriction for 1941 router.Kindly provide solution for my issues to apply for client place.
