Best way to tunnel layer 2 over WAN

Hi all

what are most people doing to tunnel layer 2 vlans over a layer 3 wan link?

can you tunnel multiple vlans using l2tp?

if so has anyone got a sample config?

what other options are there?

Hello,

L2TPv3 (togther with IPSec) is probably your best option. Below a sample configuration on how to trunk multiple Vlans.

Do the other options such as Eompls / VPLS done by the ISP and are more service provider technologies?

What about EVPN using BGP, is that another option? can you use it without vxlan ?
