Good day
A colleague and I are trying to configure BFD dampening on IE4000 switches. When we use the show commands we can see the dampening option however when in config term under BFD we have no such option.

Hi
For me this is more a router feature.
But I was not sure at 100% that this feature isn't existing on IE-4000 switches, and I've checked.
If you take a look on Cisco IOS feature navigator (http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/by-feature-technology.jsp), you will see that it's available on ISR and ASR.
I've also checked on Cisco BFD dampening documentation (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/iproute_bfd/configuration/xe-3s/irb-xe-3s-book/irb-bfd-damp.html) and it's available since version IOS 15.3(2)T. However, the latest IOS version for IE-4000 is 15.2.4-EA1(ED).
Hope this answered your question.
Thanks.
PS: don't forget to rate and mark as correct answer.

Hi Supportlan
No this does not answer the question. BFD is available on many platforms. When will the IOS version for IE-4000 have BFD dampening added to it ?
Thanks,
Philip

Hi
I don't know anything about this kind of roadmap. You may ask to your local cisco.
Sorry for that
