Hello,

this is from the datasheet attached:

--> The IP Services feature set is required for full OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4, and IS-ISv4.

Scroll down to the section 'High Performance Routing':

Yes, and as already noted by other posters, with the IP Service feature set, but understand a 3650 doesn't have the internal resources to accept huge BGP route tables, like the Internet's.

thanks for the info.
i don't know my Cisco 3650 switch is IP service Feature set or not. is there any way to check it ?

Try "show ver" and "show license"

HI thanks for the info.
i have tried the commands but I got confuse again. in show version I can see L3 Software as you can see below logs but in show license its showing on LANBASE. so im not sure it is supporting BGP or not.

Hello @Ravinder.pal ,

unfortunately LANBASE ha less features then IP Services so your switch C3650 at the moment does not support BGP at all.

As noted by Joseph even with the right license installed the device is not suitable to receive many routes like those in an Internet full table.

A device like this can be used in eBGP to exchange few prefixes with another enterprise.

The reason is in the TCAM size limitation that can host something like 8,000 routes or 16,000 routes just to make an example. (I didn't check but the values should be in this order of size)

Hope to help

Giuseppe
