I need to set up a VPN connection between two branch offices and the main office (three nodes)

From the specs it looks like CISCO881-K9 can do the job, but I would like to get som advice before I order.

What is the main difference between CISCO881-SEC-K9 and CISCO881-K9?

Is Avanced IP security feature set required?

Yes, you need the Security license for IPsec VPN.

Alternatively, you can do a GRE VPN configuration, that does not require Security license.

I assume the license can be added later. I this more costly than purchasing with the lisece included?

How do you compare security of a GRE tunnel copared to IpSec VPN?

In most cases there is no need to encrypt VPN, because the "bad people" doesn't work at ISPs.
