Hi, one of the customer wants to configure shaping qos on multiple port at one switch.  As this switch roles HQ distributtion switch to mant branches. (HQ is multicast source) There are multicast stream and the customer wants to allow only 70% bandwidth each port for multicastatreaming. I've never seen multiple port qos before, so curious and concerned if resources such as mem/cpu are leaked because of monitoring multiple port. Is there anyone who has seen like this before?

Usually L3 switch QoS is implemented on the device's ASICs, so mem/CPU are generally not impacted.

Hello,

it is unclear whether the ports you want to limit the traffic on are layer 2 or layer 3 ports. If you have layer 3 ports, you can use an access list, and then shape using a class map and a policy. CPU and memory utilization will have to be monitored, but my guess is that it won't be a problem...
