C9300 access - enable ip routing or not

Hi,

We have c9300 as access switches, with several vlans and a vlan interface for management. We use 16.6.5. Routing is made on l3 backbone switch.

I use "ip default-gateway" command To set the management vlan's gw. It works. 

Some collegues think that we need to enable ip routing just for management and tacacs on vty ; is it necessary or usefull somehow ?

As long as Management interface reachable from TACACS and other network, if the switch is Pure L2, then you do not require any further config. ( management and tacacs )
