hii guys

I intend to upgrade the IOS of C1111 router , I downloaded a new image (the existing one is “Cisco IOS XE Software, Version 16.10.3a”) and I put it in the flash:, but when I wanted the prompt to start from the new image , I did not find the command “boot system” , it says “syntax error: unknown command”

How can I load the router from new Image ?

regards

The only time this error message comes up is when the router is running SD-WAN image.

Converting the router from SD-WAN to autonomous is not easy.

1.  Issue the command "controller-mode disable" to force the router to go into autonomous mode.

2.  Delete all SD-WAN related files.  (Note:  Failure to delete SD-WAN related files will cause the router to boot back into SD-WAN.)

del /force /recursive bootflash:*sdwan*
del /force /recursive bootflash:vmanage-admin
del /force /recursive bootflash:.cdb_backup

3.  Upgrade the firmware (Cisco ISR & ASR 1k Routers: IOS-XE/Firmware Upgrade (Install Mode))

Has anyone read the Release Notes for SD-WAN?
The upgrade procedure is there.
