can't "clean switch" to upgrade to Denali on Cisco 3650

Trying to make room for the Denali package on my switch. Can't clean old files using commands provided by lousy Cisco support tech. I was also told to match the file's md5 with the download page md5. He didn't bother to look, there's no md5 on the page.

reading the release notes that command looks to be use when already on denali and moving to another denali , I think he should have given you the software clean command instead

software clean 3850 may work better in current version

because there's no difference between the syntax in software for 3650 and 3850 its all ios-xe , same commands on both platforms
