can we install line module in 6509 sixth module

Hi,

We have 6509 switch, sup720 is in slot 5. I know that slots five and six are for supervisor. Slots 1,2,3,4,7,8,9 are filled with line cards. Now we have to install another line card, is it possible to install that in 6th slot?

Yes, you can intall a line card in slot 6 given that it is not being used for redundant sup of course. :)

Can you share any document which can confirm which LineCards are supported for Slot-6 since on back plan it has a different kind of bus connector.
