Hi folks,
I have a question on LISP - can you have same ip address for a vm in 2 x DCs at the same time and control the routing? For example, ip: 10.10.10.100/32 present in both East and West DC at the same time, can LISP help in controlling in bound traffic flow to it?
I understand we can leverage LISP for vm mobility (ESM mode) and true multi homing, but want to address this question also.
thnx

The question is not clear, if i understand correctly.
you can have duplicate IP in different DC (depends on the design)
but are you looking to run services in both host to loadbalance active/active? or both are different VM and different Services ?

Hi Balaji,
lets say we want to do active/standby with the same ip/services running on the vms (one vm in each DC). Can the MS/MR have 2 x RLOCs pointing to the active DC and 2 x RLOCs pointing to the standby DC?
How does the MS/MR do continuous health checks to the RLOCs, to determine if they are down and then automatically steer the traffic to the DR/standby site?
