I have a Cat 6509 (IOS / Sup720-3B) that Im testing. Each time the unit is power cycled it completely loses it's config. I've checked the config register (0x2102)- why on earth would it lose it's config on reboot?
Thanks
Greg

You might try to replace NVRAM battery on Sup720.

It seems as if it only loses the config on power cycle. Not from a standard reload. It loses it only when power is shut off.

That worked. Well most of the issues. Thanks

Would you do a dir all and see if the startup-config is saved under a different name.
Default should be startup-config

It shows to be in NVRAM- this was after it was just saved. I will pull the same thing after power cycle.

It does show the same thing after power cycle- but it does not let me copy over the startup config to running config. and it does not load it. However the config registry is correct.
