I completed my CCNP R&S (Route, Switch and Tshoot) in 2014. Now, I am in the place of to extend my CCNP R&S certification's validity to next 3 years. I have gone through the Cisco Learning site and came to know the below pasted bulletins. But, I have a question on this and mentioned the same below for youu folks. Please help me out.
To recertify, pass ONE of the following before the certification expiration date:
- Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam, or
- Pass any current CCIE Written Exam, or
- Pass the current CCDE Written Exam OR current CCDE Practical Exam, or
- Pass the Cisco Certified Architect (CCAr) interview AND the CCAr board review to extend lower certifications.
I am planning to take the first one i.e. “Pass any current 642-XXX Professional-level or any 300-XXX Professional-level exam”.
But, my question is, if I take any one of 300-XXX (i.e. 300-101 route exam), will my validity be extended for 3 years or it’s for 1 year since I am taking one professional exam out of 3(route,switch and Tshoot).? Please clarify me. Would be a great help. Thanks in advance.
