Hello,
the baud rate got changed of the 2702i aironet device by an accidental cut and paste from a wrong script and I'm trying to set it back so we can update the image to autonomous from lightweight and use this access point.
I tried most of the baudrate, data, parity, stop, flow control settings but don't seem to manage to fix this.
This is what I get (through the console cable) when I boot the device :
IOS Bootloader - Starting system.
flash is writable
Antigua Board
40MB format
Tide XL MB - 40MB of flash
Xmodem file system is available.
flashfs[0]: 12 files, 2 directories
flashfs[0]: 0 orphaned files, 0 orphaned directories
flashfs[0]: Total bytes: 41158656
flashfs[0]: Bytes used: 7364608
flashfs[0]: Bytes available: 33794048
flashfs[0]: flashfs fsck took 10 seconds.

Then the green light is on and I can't type anything.
When I keep the mode button pushed while booting I get this :
IOS Bootloader - Starting system.

When I press enter multiple times I get this : MJNJNJMJMJMJMJNJMJMJljê[’þMJ
These settings are applied now :
baud rate : 9600
Data: 8bit
Parity : none
Stop: 1bit
Flow control : none
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong to reset this. The 2702 doesn't seem to have a jumper to reset the access point also?
Thanks for any feedback!

Could be a faulty AP too.

Go to your console settings, start with the highest baud rate and adjust until you see the output becomes normal.
If you are in ROMmon when it happens, reset the settings using the command "unset BAUD".

The output seems to be normal until a certain point. Then it's all garbled.
I tried booting with all different baud rates.
When I go into ROMmon using the mode button on startup then all the text I type is garbled. (bottom part of my first post)
How come the text is only garbled at a certain point??
Thanks!

Can you try a different console client?

I've used ttermpro and Putty. Same garbled output at a certain point. I've also tried another computer with a different cable just to be sure about that too.
Is there a way to know the current settings of the AP or a way to totally reset it?
Thanks

I retried Putty on 115200 witht he mode button pressed at startup and this was the result :
The ▒ is what I get when I type anything.

How can it be that the output baud rate seems to be working but not the input?
Thanks

I think I got the baud rate right now because I can read everything except the things I type. Is there a difference in this?
Thanks!!

Check your console settings. Is Flow Controll off?
