Does the Router C2811 with VPN/SSL module support hardware compression for frame relay??
the command "show pas caim 0" say unrecognised command and "show compress" outputs only software compression.

If you have AIM-VPN/SSL-2 than YES for 2811.{The Cisco VPN and SSL AIM uses Layer 3 IPPCP compression.}
Otherwise NO
See if you would get more Idea:

Dharmesh, I made some research on IPPCP and it does hardware encryption and software compression. What i am looking for is if its possible to make hardware compression on Serial interface using the AIM-VPN/SSL module. If yes what are the commands since i have tried a few commands and it still didnt work out.
