Cisco 2811 Rom Monitor not responding to any command

Hello,

I have Cisco 2811 router that is not responding to any command given in Rom Monitor. Even 'help' command is not returning the list of available commands:

rommon 1 > confreg 0x2102

monitor: command "confreg" not found

rommon 2 > ?

monitor: command "?" not found

rommon 3 > help

monitor: command "help" not found

Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Console into the router and reboot.  Post the entire boot-up process.
