Cisco 2900

Dear All,

Our company want to setup one Brach call setup.

We are planning to use Cisco 2900 series router,

But we our requirement is router should have 8 min 20 max gigabit Ethernet port.

It should support 150mbps bandwidth upload/download after apply IPsec and QOS.

I would like to check about 2901 or 2911.

Will they come-up on our requirement ?

I am fine to use any other router as which fit on the requirement.

Kindly help to determine such product from Cisco.

Hi,

You can use a 2911 or 2921.  2901 does not have room for service module

We are planning to use the device as Gateway+core switch for Lan devices.

For lan side this Router will connect to some Switches with SFP module.

As per your detail we can use 24 port Ether module, but will it capable to use 24 port SFP module

I recommend you use an external switch unless you have strict space or other constrains.

You will enjoy more flexibility and stability for a smaller cost.
