We are having problems over MPLS and I think that our problem is our Cisco 2911.
The current tech has the MPLS connected to the Cisco 2911 and our DIA is connected to our Cisco ASA.
I have noticed that on the Cisco 2911 he has EIGRP turned with match up statements. and 51 Static routes that point to VPN connections or other networks.
The ASA has only static routes and EIGRP isn't turned on
He has stated that the Match up statements are zoned only for certain routes.
From what I know and I hold a CCDA is that you really don't need to have static routes if your running EIGRP, Also If he had turned on EGIRP on the ASA there would be no need for static routes there either.
The load on the 2911 was at 13% today with nothing going on.
I have a meeting tomorrow and would like to know if my basis for my concern is just.
The 2911 also has a vast Access control list on it to for the inspect statements.
I think since he has EIRGP and static routes its causing some problems. Also I think since the inspect or match up statements are being applied would cuase some over head on the router and slowness.
