Cisco 6509 E Switch Port Configuration

I am in the process of moving a data line  with a Riverbed to my WAN provider's data centre. The plan is to connect the Riverbed to a Cisco 6509E switch.

The LAN Port on the Riverbed SH550  runs at 100MB ( 1000GB not supported). My WAN provider has now told me that it is not possible to configure a port on the Cisco 6509E to run at 100MB - only 1GB is supported. Is this correct ? Information on the internet suggests the hardware supports fast Ethernet. Could my WAN provider have acquired a hardware version of the 6509E switch that does  not support 100MB ? This is a core switch in the WAN provider's network. Could there be a Network design issue that disallows 100MB ports ?

Its most likely the blades he has in the 6509E  , I have 6509Es VSS and others , some blades are 10100/100 some only 1000 or 10gb, As below 6748s support 100mbs
