Hello Ratna,

I don't remember the exact meaning but it should stand for real time switching bus.

To be noted first generation of C7200 had only two standard PCI buses

you can check the chassis type with

sh c7200

you cannot install npe 400 or better in a c7206 non vxr chassis.

Actually we had one installed by error the system was instable with frequent crashes caused by errors in accessing the I/O bus

all modern processors require the VXR version of the chassis

Hi,

I agree with Giuseppe. As far as the abbreviation is concerned even I was interested to know that does VXR stands for. I did a search on google and few people suggest that it's "Voice Exchange Router"
