Cisco 7204VXR NPE-G2 hanging when adding vlan

Hi,

I'm running (C7200P-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T4, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2) on a Cisco 7204VXR (NPE-G2).

Currently, the router has about 200 VLANs configured on dot1q subinterfaces.

Now, the router hangs everytime we try to add a new Vlan.

Is there a well-known bug with the IOS version?

Hi Jean,

No.  We are not aware of any bug for this problem you're having.  This router supports up to 20000 IDBs per this link:

Each Virtual LAN (VLAN) requires one IDB.  So I suggest you to open a TAC case with the Switching team so they can check the new configuration you are adding since that's seems to be the cause or trigger of this problem.
