Hi,
I have a sup720-3BXL. I'm being told that I cannot put the sup under smartnet because the 7604 chassis is end of life. I cannot find any info stating that the 7604 chassis is end of life. If it is end of life what are my upgrade options? I'm told the ASR series. Is the 7603-S chassis a option?
Thanks

Hi.
I don't think what they told you is true
Looking at the EOL document, it specifically says that sup-720-3BXL is not eol.
have a look

Wayne,
I am in the same situation, and from what I can find (including the link Reza posted), the 7604 chassis is still listed as the replacement chassis for any 7604-Sup7203B/XL combos. As stated, the sup-720-3BXL is still supported until January 31, 2018. In fact, you can still order the product until 2013.
Many of the other 760x chassis have been EoL and replaced with -S versions, but not the 7604. Anyway, it sounds like somebody is trying to upsell you an ASR. The 7603-S is a DC power chassis, which might be option for you too, but keep that in mind.
