Cisco 878 No Carrier Detect LED

Hi

I have a SDSL G.DMT service with Zen. We have purchased an 878 and put a config on it with SDM but it refuses to show even a CD led when connected up to the phone line.

I've also followed the "PPP over ATM with NAT" configuration guide line by line that hasn't helped.

The SDSL does work and we are currently using a Speedtouch 605s.

Has anyone got a sample config for the controller which shows all the lines needed to get a carrier detect from a UK supplier.

Reasons could be hardware fault on the SHDSL port of the 878. Is it possible for you to test the 878 router on another SDSL line.An incompatibility issue between the Cisco 878 and the DSLAM used by the ISP.Refer URL

Maybe you can try changing the operating-mode.

The next lines are a basic config for SDSL in Belgium:

interface ATM0

dsl equipment-type CPE

dsl operating-mode GSHDSL symmetric annex B

dsl linerate auto

!

no shutdown

!
