Cisco 881w wlan disable

Hello all talented Cisco peeps :)

I needed to configure a Cisco 881w though completely disable the wifi...
I have gone into the router and configured everything and logged into the ap via "service-module wlan-ap 0 session" all good and disabled (shutdown) the radio interface etc
My question is why is the WLAN link light still flashing green?
Is there a way I can remove this whole service-module?

I do not tink you really shut down the radio interface,

the hardware installation guide  page 1-136 suggests:

the AP is not communicating with the wireless controller

you must see the router as having  two additional devices integrated

an access point and a wireless controller,

you may only have shutdown the controller, but the access point may still be active.
