Cisco AnyConnect on VM on Windows 10 work PC.

I use AnyConnect to connect to one of 4 .mil sites in order to do my job.  AnyConnect is installed within a VirtualBox VM on a Windows 10 platform.  I would say 99% of the time, AnyConnect connects successfully to whichever site I choose (of the 4).  Once I am connected, I use "MobaXterm" to ssh to specific servers.  I also have PuTTy installed just for testing.  The first time I ssh to one of my servers I connect but am disconnected within 1-2 minutes.  After being disconnected I cannot connect again w/o disconnecting AnyConnect and reconnecting.  Basically I get once successful connection that lasts 1-2 min and then it doesn't work at all.  I've been back and forth with our Admins and they repeat the steps and have no issues.  I know others have the same issue at times but it is nothing close to what I'm experiencing.  I basically can't do my job and have actually been given another laptop to replace this one, but I have to go through the install steps and configuration again.  So I thought I would ask here first if anyone has any ideas.  The disconnect message within MobaXterm is: "client_loop: send disconnect: connection reset by peer."  Thanks for any help/advice!

Just a guess, enable client-side keepalives in SSH. This sends periodic messages to keep the connection alive. In MobaXterm, go to Settings > SSH > Enable "SSH keepalive". Adjust the interval if needed.

I enabled "SSH keepalive" but no difference.  Where do I see/adjust the interval?  I don't see it.  And thanks for the reply!

Should be in the SSH tab, find the interval option. Right next to the checkbox, you'll see a field with a value like "60" (the default interval in seconds). This is the option you can adjust.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

which AnyConnect version are you using ? The older ones had an option to enable split tunneling, the newer ones don't as far as I recall.

You might want to try and use the native Windows 10 VPN client instead of AnyConnect, which I think lets you enable split tunneling (which could be causing these problems). Below is a link on how to set this up:

I don't see an interval option.  The Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client version is 4.10.06090

This is wolfee22, why do I have to create a new user display name when I login??  As soon as I login with my email address I'm prompted to choose a display name which is wolfee22 and when I use wolfee22 is says it's already taken, yea by me and I can see this message in the background.  So now I have wolfee22 and wolfee223.
